Set Pay Ending Date/Deduction Frequency

Sub-task 5 of Task 1 - Attendance Entry & Editing

 

NOTE: this task MUST be run before processing "Enter New Attendance Record - Sub-task 1"

 

 

Enter the pay period ending date. The system will default to the last pay period.

 

Enter which location to pay or press Enter for ALL locations to be selected to pay.

 

Set pay period deduction frequencies:

 

  1. This pay period: Enter up to 9 frequency codes from Frequency Code Chart (listed on the right side of the computer screen and listed below). The frequency code must be on field 11 of the Recurring Deduction Master file for each employee. If any code entered in this field matches the Employee's Deduction code, it will be taken in this pay period.
    • Example: if Deductions with a Frequency Code of 2-Every Other Period Hourly Only, 5-Every Other Period Salary Only & 8- First of Month Hourly & Salary are to be taken for this pay period, enter 258 in this field.

 

2. 1st adv vac week: Same as above. This would apply to the first week of advance vacation.

 

3. 2nd adv vac week: Same as above. This would apply to the second week of advance vacation.

 

4. 3rd adv vac week: Same as above. This would apply to the third week of advance vacation.

 

5. 4th adv vac week: Same as above. This would apply to the fourth week of advance vacation.

 

6. Skip weekly pay?: Y/N. Include employees that are paid weekly in this pay period.

 

7. Pay Bi-weekly?: Y/N. Include employees that are paid Bi-weekly in this pay period.

 

8. Pay semi-monthly?: Y/N. Include employees that are paid semi-monthly in this pay period.

 

9. Pay monthly pay?: Y/N. Include employees that are paid monthly in this pay period.

 

Frequency codes:

 

1=Every pay period Salary and hourly

2=Every other period Hourly only

3=Every 3rd period ' '

4=Every 4th period ' '

5=Every other period Salary only

6=Every 3rd period ' '

7=Every 4th period ' '

8=First of month Salary and hourly

9=(User defined)
