There are two parameters which control partial item searches and in-stock (using description) searches on the line items of a sales order.
(1) On the line item, where the item is entered, the PARTIAL’SEARCH parameter word is used (either HOME or ENTER) to search by a partial number.
(2) For a descriptive search, use the TAB key (at the line item), then the word used on the parameter ISTOCK’ONLY (either HOME or ENTER….the one not used in the PARTIAL’SEARCH parameter) to search by description.
