AU is a software distribution tool that is integrated into the Profits Plus S/M task #18 "Site Maintenance" on the MVS Unix development system in company # 1.
Updating remote Unix installations is supported directly from the MVS server and connects to the customer's Unix machine via dial-up modem or internet.
Updating a Windows installation is possible but you cannot connect directly to the customer's Windows machine from the Unix MVS: "Site Maintenance" task. You need to use your desktop PC to start a remote desktop session (RDP) to the customer's remote Windows server. The Unix MVS server will transfer files to/from your Windows PC and then you will transfer those files to/from the customer's server via the RDP connection. The windows updates will require more work on your part. It is automated, but not automatic.
