Integration of 3rd Party Time-Clock System and Profits Plus Payroll

By using a 3rd party payroll time-clock system (i.e. TimeIPS) the employees can use a time-clock for hours worked and have the information integrated into the Profits Plus Payroll module.   The basic functionality is explained below.  Contact us for specifics via e-mail.

 

  1. A 3rd party time-clock system is installed as a networked system on the local network.
  2. Employee records are added to the 3rd party system with the employee number from Profits Plus as the common ID.
  3. Each ‘swipe’ (whether by a plastic ID card or manually entered employee ID) by an employee is recorded by the system.
  4. An Excel reporting system (i.e. Maxene Reporter) generates a timecard report in an Excel spreadsheet format and is e-mailed to the HR/Payroll person.
  5. The report is saved as a .csv file and imported into Profits Plus for further processing in the Payroll module.

 

The process eliminates the manual entry of time-card information, however it does require manual intervention if an employee forgets to clock in or out.   But this is only done on the single/individual record level.
