Task 10 - Financial Statements

The Financial Statements may be run for any given month or period as set up in the accounting periods.

Financial statements, by division, are obtained simply by indicating beginning and ending division to be printed.

If multiple divisions are specified, they can be printed separately or consolidated by answering the question "Print a separate report for each division?".

  • Answer Y, and a separate set of financials will print for each division.
  • Answer N, then all divisions in the range will print consolidated on a single set of financials.

Supporting data will be printed for the Balance Sheet and Income Statement, as indicated by consolidated or by division.

Budget or Prior Year comparisons can be printing on the financial statements.  The "Change format?" field controls what information is included.

NOTE:  If the financial statements and Trial Balance do not agree, the problem is most likely with the financial statements.

Using the process of elimination, take the Trial Balance by groups (sales, cost of sales etc.) and match them with the financial statement totals. This will indicate which accounts are not included in financial statement totals.

Check the statement coding, there might be VS accounts without a corresponding IP account or VP accounts without a SS or ST account to total into.
