Customer's Windows Server au setup

These are instructions on how to setup the customer's Windows Profits Plus server so automated updates can be performed.

  • Logon to the Customer's machine with Remote Desktop.
  • If it isn't already there, create a new folder at MVS_ROOT\au\mvs_tools and create a shortcut named "mvs_tools" for it on the desktop
  • Create the following empty sub-folders under the MVS_ROOT (\u\mvs) folder
    • au
    • au\inbox
    • au\outbox
    • au\logs
  • Install the AuStart program and related files
  • Before running the an update open 3 Windows explorer windows for the neilpc J: drive outbox,  the customer's au folder and the customer's au\outbox folder.  The software update will require you to drag and drop files between these folders.
